Cash - Portfolio Services Group Cash/Billing & Invoicing Leader (Cedar Rapids, IA - Hybrid)
  

Position Summary

 

The GPSG Cash/Billing & Invoicing Leader is responsible for leading the GPSG Cash/Billing & Invoicing Teams including overseeing all facets of training, procedure management, technology, hiring and succession planning. 

 

As a member of the GPSG leadership team, this individual is a strong role model for the GreatAmerica principles and the GreatAmerica Experience.  The right candidate will have a vision for the Cash/Billing & Invoicing functions and their role in the delivery of GPSG’s mission, driving strategic initiatives that move the functions toward that vision.  They will foster strong working relationships with leaders at all levels of the organization and be proactive in addressing issues that impact their function.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Ensure team’s processes and performance are in accordance with SOPs:
    • Participate in leadership routine review of SOPs as it relates to functions
    • Oversees the process of administering timely cash applications for our clients as defined in the SOP’s
    • Oversees the process of delivering timely invoices to customers as defined in our clients SOP’s
    • Leader in culture of quality overseeing team-owned quality checks
    • Monitor teams performance including but not limited to productivity and client satisfaction
  • Provide coaching and mentorship which includes, but is not limited to,
    • Oversees and ensures coverage on all team duties, tracking metrics on responsibilities and ensuring documentation and backup is in place for both functions
    • Challenges the teams to continuously improve their process efficiency and performance effectiveness
    • One-on-one’s to evaluate progress of positions (goal setting, PDP reviews)
  • Coordination of training for new hires as well as tenured team members based on needs of the individual and client-specific processes
  • Serve as client onboarding functional liaison for Cash/Billing & Invoicing related topics
  • Partner with appropriate functional leaders on hiring process for filling open positions
  • Manage initiatives impacting Cash Applications/Billing & Invoicing, including but not limited to partnering with functional leaders on transformational projects, system enhancements, review of potential clients and strategic planning
  • Acts in accordance with GreatAmerica’s core values, serving as a role model and coach to others

Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four years of directly related work experience

Skills and Abilities: Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel with a working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications required

 

Other Requirements: Exceptional organizational, analytical and follow through skills are required
