We are Looking to Add a Key Member to our Enterprise Technology Group!

In this role, you will be responsible for creating exceptional experiences for GreatAmerica customers and team members enabled through technology and rooted in the GreatAmerica experience.  This role will bring a strategic, enterprise viewpoint to deliver interconnected end-to-end experiences, bridging the gap between business strategy and its successful execution, and assuring delivery of desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities

The Business and Experience Architect will assist in improving the customer, end user and team member experiences by gathering customer insights, analyzing data, mining information across all customer touchpoints and channels and translating it into actionable activities.  This role will be responsible for the business capabilities, models and value streams across the end to end journeys. 

The Business and Experience Architect will be immediately accountable for the following services:

  • Use business architecture tools and techniques in a variety of business scenarios to assess areas for improvement and changes necessary to carry out business strategy. This includes capability assessments, solution analysis, investment prioritization, and road-mapping
  • Own the creation of journey maps and other analytical visuals used to convey the customer perspective.
  • Define and model current and future state scenarios, perform gap analyses and develop actionable recommendations; use design thinking to analyze components and improve outcomes
  • Owns driving toward and understanding the end-to-end, cross product experience to ensure consistency for customers, end users and team members regardless of channel entry point.
  • Facilitate cross-functional design sessions and group discussions to gather input about customer experiences and opportunities for improvement
  • Defines interdependencies across business and product elements, ensuring the upstream and downstream models align
  • Support agile delivery teams and operations to deliver on agreed-upon business outcomes.
  • Participate in proof of concept and prototype initiatives to demonstrate potential value.
  • Advocate for a customer centric culture; lead by example by being an advocate for the customer experience across the organization.
  • Ensure that the business architecture and customer experience strategy align to and enable business goals.
  • Develop and apply knowledge of related business capabilities, customer and market requirements, as well as enterprise and business architecture discipline
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with the Operations and Business Unit leaders, with expertise and insight into the business, the business strategy, and the industry.
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies. Support the delivery of concept analysis work to evaluate opportunities and design solutions to support and inform domain and capability road maps.


Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business or related field
  • 5+ years relevant experience including impact analysis, solution design, project delivery, business requirements, competitive and industry research, process documentation
  • Experience supporting or leading business process improvement, optimization, or reengineering initiatives
  • Practical knowledge of architecture concepts including enterprise architecture, technology architecture, information architecture and business architecture
  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques; value stream mapping and customer journey mapping preferred
  • Working knowledge of enterprise architecture tools and industry standard notations such as UMP, BPMN
  • Ability to think critically, strategically and understand the difference between long and short term priorities
  • High level understanding of business operations and key business drivers
  • Strong analytical skill with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendation clearly and concisely to senior management
  • Experience supporting agile delivery across multiple teams
  • Demonstrated facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing multiple services and cross-enterprise activities
