We are looking to Add a Key Member to our Enterprise IT Team!

Technology is a key driver in delivering value to our customers. To support this, we seek an energetic, collaborative, and creative leader who is focused on ensuring delivery excellence through partnerships across the enterprise.  We’re seeking a leader with demonstrated sound business judgment, who can liaise with leaders and SMEs to facilitate outcomes, and who can drive change associated to best practices through the Enterprise Technology Group organization.

 

Responsibilities

Our goal is to ensure alignment with corporate frameworks and practices, ensuring effective oversight of key activities. As a member of the Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) leadership team, this role will partner with key Technology, Product, Finance, Vendor Risk, Audit, and Compliance leaders and SMEs.  This individual must implement and evangelize frameworks essential in governing technology and associated risks, and prioritize all activities in alignment with company and group goals.

 

The Director of Technology Governance will be immediately accountable for the following services:

  • Governance
    • Implementing an industry-standard technology governance framework
    • Assessing current state maturity of technology services and gap analysis if necessary
    • Defining future state maturity of technology services and associated roadmap based on needs and aspirations
  • Compliance and Audit
    • Working with control owners on how all controls integrate throughout the organization (including aligning similar requests for consistency) to support the company’s risk posture
    • Ensuring the creation and managing the lifecycle policies and standards in alignment with roadmap and controls needs
    • Working with Risk and Internal Audit leaders to mediate control concerns
    • Recommending opportunities for automation of data gathering activities in support of audits
    • Overseeing audit of technology controls and policies
    • Chairing the Change Authorization Board
    • Providing tailored reporting to each stakeholder audience
  • Risk Management
    • Adopting and adapting an industry-standard risk management framework
    • Developing risk models, considerate of business, operational and technical risks
    • Leading ETG’s risk assessments and evaluations
    • Making recommendations for technology policy modifications and improvements
    • Ongoing monitoring of identified risks
    • Providing tailored reporting to each stakeholder audience

    Over time, the Director of Technology Governance will establish and be accountable for the below noted additional services:

  • Team Establishment and Oversight
    • Forming and overseeing the ETG’s Governance team, including the recruitment, development, and engagement of team members
    • Defining team goals, providing feedback on individual performance plans, and assessing achievement of goals
  • Performance Management
    • Evaluating ETG’s performance relative to industry benchmarks
    • Providing recurring key performance indicators and analyzing impact of operational performance
    • Providing tailored reporting to each stakeholder audience
  • Financial Management
    • Developing financial models and tools designed to forecast ETG’s expenditures
    • Coordinate ETG’s annual budget and multi-year financial plan including alignment with enterprise and business unit strategic plans
    • Providing support and guidance to Financial Analysts in the development of ETG’s financial performance targets
    • Evaluating ETG’s operating strategies, performance, and the financial implication of decisions
    • Creating plans for continuous improvement to ensure cost-conscious delivery of ETG’s services
    • Providing tailored reporting to each stakeholder audience
  • Vendor (3rd Party) Management
    • Establishing Vendor (3rd Party) Contract framework, including standardized contract language to assist with development statement of work and requests for proposals, overseeing the contract lifecycle in collaboration with Vendor Risk team, and collaborating with contract owners to forecast / model licensing strategies
    • Establishing Vendor (3rd Party) Relationship framework, including an interaction methodology between key stakeholders and strategic vendor partners
    • Establishing Vendor (3rd Party) Performance Management framework, including a methodology that aligns strategic business objectives to partner delivery results, the development of a performance reporting scorecard and satisfaction surveys and an issue resolution path for vendor performance disputes in partnership with Vendor Risk team

 

Position Requirements

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 10+ years relevant work experience in governance roles
  • Bachelors degree required; advanced business degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of COBIT, NIST, ISO, ITIL frameworks
  • Certifications in information systems audit, risk management, and/or IT governance preferred
  • High level understanding of systems architecture
  • Working knowledge of Jira and ServiceNow preferred
  • Demonstrated facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing multiple services and cross-enterprise activities
