Position Summary

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) – New Business role is the liaison between marketing and sales and ultimately responsible for delivering qualified leads to Account Managers. This position will take leads generated and qualified by marketing and follow an established process to qualify, score and hand off the best leads to Account Managers The SDR – New Business role will manage leads in various stages and will be required to identify opportunities with the most potential to produce leasing volume.

Essential Functions

  • Success will be measured by the number of leads accepted by Account Managers and the associated volume produced by those leads.
  • Responsible for timely follow-up and development of leads.
  • Will score and qualify leads from marketing campaigns.
  • Present our company, products and services to potential clients.
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
  • Set up meetings between prospective clients and territory sales reps.
  • Consistently manages ~100 leads and prospects in various stages of the sales funnel.
  • Contacting prospective clients through calls and emails.
  • Establish persuasive and compelling value statements to attract the attention of prospects.
  • Delivers sales message consistent with the marketing script and evaluates the overall quality and volume opportunity with accounts.
  • Follows an established pre-sales process and documents activity in Salesforce.
  • Develops a social media presence and strategy to build professional network and deliver marketing messages to customers.
  • Is in attendance during business hours with minimal absences per GreatAmerica’s attendance policy. Attendance includes participation in some out of town work that requires nights and weekends.
  • Lives the GreatAmerica principles; involved in cross functional team efforts as required and assigned.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or equivalent


Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in sales

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite


Other Requirements: Must possess strong business acumen and judgment to make appropriate decisions as well as strong negotiation and follow through skills.  Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills are required.
