Position Summary

The Property Tax Specialist I is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of the property tax cycle.

Position Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer basic property tax return filings, assessed value comparisons, tax bill payment and invoicing to lessee timely and accurately.
  • Produce and reconcile reports for import into property tax software with assistance.
  • Understand use of various general ledger tax accounts to complete and input property tax journal entries for review.
  • Answer basic property tax questions with limited assistance.
  • Provide outstanding GreatAmerica Experience for external as well as internal customers.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.  Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Experience: Prior leasing, property tax, or related experience helpful but not required.

Computer Skills:   Experience with Microsoft Office products primarily Word and Excel.   General experience with property tax software preferred but not required.
