Position Summary

The Accountant I is primarily responsible for ensuring that generally accepted accounting principles are followed in the preparation and presentation of financial reports.

 

Essential Functions

  • Learn and understand the business (key operational drivers, accounting issues, and related market forces)
  • Understand the accounting impact of all relevant transactions and documents to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Financial Statement preparation and analysis.
  • General ledger account reconciliation.
  • Participate in month and year end closing.
  • Assist with annual financial statement audit.
  • Prepare and audit recurring operational reports.
  • Prepare monthly reporting for various external customer programs.
  • Provide an outstanding GreatAmerica experience to all customers.
