Position Summary

 

The Director, Business Development & IT Nation Evolve Community Leader plays a key part in the success of our Connected Technology Group. S/he drives the strategic creation and cultivation of new business opportunities while maintaining existing relationships within the IT Nation Evolve community. S/he has the ability to work within a team environment and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in meeting the needs of our partners.

Essential Functions

 

  • Prospects potential vendors in territory by performing research to identify viable sales opportunities.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering successful strategies to maximize dealers’ sales growth.
  • Demonstrates a consultative sales approach.
  • Calls on new vendor accounts to determine vendor’s business needs and present GreatAmerica solutions.
  • Develops strategies and programs to increase sales and lease volume for GreatAmerica.
  • Accountable for achieving sales volume in assigned territory.
  • Communicates effectively with team members to successfully implement customized solutions to generate volume growth.
  • Responsible for maintaining call expectations.
  • Keeps rates updated in the territory.
  • Utilizes SalesForce as a Primary Selling Tool by keeping up to date records, utilizing campaigns, working with Marketing (see below for more info)
  • May handle transactions associated with supporting vendor business (i.e. follow up on accounts, paperwork associated with approvals, etc.)
  • Appropriately and consistently utilize the GreatAmerica Sales Process.
  • Ensures delivery of a quality portfolio as measured by volume, delinquency, yield, etc.
  • Responsible for expediting information between GreatAmerica departments in order to provide the GreatAmerica Experience.
  • In attendance during business hours with minimal absences per GreatAmerica’s attendance policy.Attendance includes participation in some out of town work that requires nights and weekends.
  • Lives the GreatAmerica principles; involved in cross functional team efforts as required and assigned.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required.

 

 

Additional IT Nation Evolve Functions

 

  • Travel to the IT Nation Evolve on a quarterly basis to present lunch & learn sessions to executive leadership peer groups.
  • Coordinate with IT Nation Evolve facilitators on the needs of their group to provide the best value during the presentations.
  • Work with other Solution Partners in the IT Nation community to discover high-level program opportunities.
  • Participate in yearly StratOp sessions and be held accountable to AIPs that arise from the sessions.
  • Serve as a liaison between the IT Nation Evolve community and GreatAmerica, bringing back best practices and latest industry trends to the team.
  • Work with the CTG Marketing team to develop a personal marketing plan for the territory, which could include a combination of emails, blogs, webinars, and videos.

Other Requirements: Must possess strong business acumen and judgment to make appropriate decisions as well as strong negotiation and follow through skills.  Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills are required.
