Position Summary

The Rotational Operations & Finance Development Analyst is an intensive three-year program spanning four assignments (initially targeted at nine months each) designed to prepare entry level team members for broad and impactful roles at GreatAmerica. Assignments will include exposure to operations, core financial drivers of the Company, risk management philosophies, and strategic decision making. Through mentorship, coursework, and challenging job assignments, this program is designed to accelerate the development of exceptional technical, financial, business and leadership skills.


Individuals in this role will also gain exposure to GreatAmerica’s executive leadership and other key senior leaders, and develop cross-functional knowledge. Upon successful completion of the program, individuals will have the opportunity to assume a challenging and impactful role based on organizational needs which could include (1) Business Unit Operations Analyst, (2) Business Unit Financial Analyst, (3) Team Leader, or (4) Corporate Functional Leader type roles.

Essential Functions

It is expected that this individual serve as a fully contributing member of the Business Unit or functional area of rotation. Based upon development needs of the analyst selected to enter the program, training may be customized to obtain desired outcomes.


A high level overview of the areas of rotation and scope is as follows:


  1. Business Unit Operations: Optimize and evolve the day to day operations of a Business Unit to help our customers achieve greater success.
    1. Continually evaluate the business unit’s operations for improvements to processes and organizational structure that improve productivity, reduce errors, and enhance the GreatAmerica Experience
    2. Participate in the development and execution of strategies for business unit growth
    3. Responsible for monitoring dealer/vendor programs in the business unit to ensure appropriate levels of performance and risk exposure


  2. Business Unit Financial Analyst: Serve as interface between the finance department and the business unit on activities with respect to financial controls, evaluating the financial implications of the business unit’s operating strategy and providing planning and support to meet the business unit’s overall performance targets. Key experiences:
    1. Front-line exposure and business acumen
    2. Philosophy on balance of profitability and growth
    3. Business strategy, analysis, and influence
    4. Nickels and Dimes of Leasing


  3. Functional Operations Analyst: Support the management of the day to day flow and strategic evolution of the core functional operations of documentation, customer service, collections, asset management, and billing/invoicing.
    1. Process and workflow improvement
    2. Benchmarking – staffing and compensation exercises
    3. Technology roadmap evolution
    4. Strategic planning activities and resulting project management


  4. Vendor Operations Analyst: Monitor, evaluate and manage operational risk within GreatAmerica’s different businesses through a deep understanding of our vendor and supplier relationships.
    1. Program or vendor risk management and monitoring
    2. Monitor, evaluate and report on portfolio or supplier risk
    3. Credit underwriting philosophy through classes and case studies
