GreatAmerica is seeking a videographer who loves storytelling and has passion for bringing out the best in people. The ideal candidate knows their way around scripting, shooting, and editing, but also has a creative eye for producing compelling vignettes about people, products, and the services of GreatAmerica. The videographer will work with members of the marketing team to bring life to pre-established concepts and content within editorial calendars, but should be comfortable suggesting and originating new ideas as well. The videographer will also be responsible for coaching fellow GreatAmericans as they create their own smartphones and/or webcams videos. Travel is not common, but a couple of overnight trips per year are possible.

 

Essential Functions

  • Create various types of videos, including: customer testimonials, employee testimonials, employee and customer training, educational, mini bios, and social media videos.
  • Edit previously created videos, including trimming long videos, updating information in older videos, or replacing b-roll footage.
  • Provide project oversight throughout the entire production process (storyboarding, scripting, shooting, editing, distribution.)
  • Direct people, plan shoots, and storyboard videos.
  • Ensure all video projects reflect the GreatAmerica brand and are completed within defined budgets and deadlines.
  • Technical knowledge of audio/video recording equipment, specifically Canon C100 video camera
  • Experience in studio and on-location lighting
  • Writing (storyboards, video scripts, and interview questions)
  • Manage video content library (Wistia)
  • Maintain video project archive and backups

  • Computer Skills: Mac and PC platforms. Advanced experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and supporting Adobe Creative Suite products (Illustrator, After Effects, Media Encoder, Audition, Prelude

Education: 4 year degree from accredited college or university

 

Experience: 2 years related professional experience.
