Position Summary

Take part in a great opportunity to join one of GreatAmerica’s fastest growing divisions and lead a 9 figure originations vendor finance platform.  We are partnered with numerous name brand OEM’s and their vast dealer channel that spans nationwide.  Help provide strategic leadership to our construction finance division by overseeing all sales and marketing personnel for our construction division.   Develop and maintain GreatAmerica’s strong industry presence, provides strategic and tactical relationship development, and leadership for the construction sales function within Specialty Markets Group.  Hires, develops, mentors and manages sales professionals for optimal performance and growth, consistent with established sales and profitability goals.  Conducts market research, develops new products, oversees promotional activities and negotiates major finance programs.

 

Essential Functions

  • Leads the development of our market approach and business strategy to ensure GreatAmerica is a premier player and an innovation leader in the market
  • Develops long range goals and objectives for the market (including the establishment of volume and profitability targets for the unit, teams, and individual sales professionals).
  • Develops and manages key industry relationships – serves as the “Face of GreatAmerica” within the industry
  • Develops a deep understanding of our customers and end users in the industry and effectively translates this expertise into strategies for success
  • Active promoter and caretaker of GreatAmerica’s brand and reputation in the markets in which they serve
  • Proactively ensures GreatAmerica has multi-layer relationships with our most strategic relationships
  • Analyzes the effectiveness of existing sales programs, processes and systems, and leads related improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in formulating and administering sales and marketing related policies and developing long range goals and objectives
  • Directs and coordinates activities of sales professionals to ensure their growth/development and the attainment of goals and objectives within the market
  • Monitors industry trends, and identifies opportunities for unique value-added solutions that provide market differentiation for GreatAmerica and our customers
  • Analyzes activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine functional progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Actively participates in initiatives, recommending courses of action that align with GreatAmerica’s vision, mission and principles.
  • Is in attendance during business hours with minimal absences per GreatAmerica’s attendance policy.Attendance requirements include extensive travel and the availability for work out of town on nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Lives the principles; involved in cross functional team efforts as required and assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or equivalent

Experience:
Minimum of 7 years consultative sales experience, 3 of which must have been in a supervisory capacity


Skills and Abilities

Computer Skills: MS Office suite         

Other Requirements: Extensive experience, with a track record of success, in leasing and/or the industry served by the Business Unit is highly desirable.  Must possess exceptional communication, team-building, negotiation, problems solving and interpersonal skills.  Must possess mathematical aptitude to ensure appropriate financing of lease arrangements.
