Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to showcase their talent! GreatAmerica interns receive hands-on experience and provide new mind to GreatAmerica activities. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work part time during the summer and possibly return for a full time position. The Intern will sit in Corporate Marketing and work closely with Mentors who assign marketing and project tasks. These tasks could range from database maintenance to Employee Awards Event assistance.

Specific Responsibilities Include:


  • Writing concise and effective copy for communications (blogging, emails, magazine articles, customer testimonials, landing pages and case studies) to prospects and customers. Scripting short promotional videos.
  • Supporting our participation in industry events (trade shows, association meetings, etc.) and ensure the GreatAmerica brand is represented well and that attending personnel are fully supported.
  • Assisting with execution of marketing campaigns and internal communication.
  • Marketing database work ( and Hubspot)
  • Monitoring and analyzing marketing activity (email, social media, website) and provide reports/make recommendations.

For this position: Communication (Primarily Written), Creativity, Project Management.

Education: Successful candidate must be working on a Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum GPA of 3.25 overall and 3.5 in their major area of study.   

Experience: No prior experience required but a strong desire for a career in Marketing or Communications is required

Skills and Abilities: Intellectual and practical curiosity will go far in this position

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, CRM (, Marketing platforms (HubSpot), Adobe Creative Suite a plus     

Other Requirements: Must have an interest in creative marketing and business
